CHAPTER 256: What's All This Kaka Business?

“ The day, water, sun, moon, night - I do not have to purchase these things with money.” - Plautus

Man City make £107 million bid for Kaka

“WHAT’S ALL THIS KAKA BUSINESS?”

The current big buzz going around planet football at the moment is that of Manchester City’s attempt of a mega bid to buy Kaka, by paying out an insane amount of transfer money to both AC Milan and an insane amount of salary to Kaka.

Money’s a big matter in this matter, and the countless threads in football forums pertaining to this Kaka business are not ending just yet. Everybody (from the professional pundits to the casual fans all over) had their opinions, and their say on this.

Before I proceed further on, lemme just state one of my points in this post that I DON’T think Kaka will leave.

Here are my short toughts/opinions on the City/Kaka business.

Why I think Kaka WON’T leave
  1. Manchester City are not (really) challenging for trophies.
  2. No disrespect, Manchester City are not a ‘big’ club.
  3. The ambitions or expectations at City (especially at the present time) are ‘unrealistic’.
  4. City’s current position in the Premier League doesn’t exactly promise a good outlook on City’s capability for titles. Looking at things, it doesn’t look big that City are even challenging or come near the EPL’s big 4.
  5. City’s potential for titles and glory are largely unknown at the moment.
  6. At the present time and present circumstances, this move would be a step down for Kaka. I do believe that the current situation doesn’t exactly bode well for City to fulfill Kaka’s ambitions in football (trophies).
  7. Another point to make is, I don’t really think that Kaka even have any issues with Milan. And another thing is I’m sure that If Kaka remains that won’t be a problem for Milan (and I’m sure Milan fans will be more than happy).
( Manchester City’s comparison with Chelsea’s situation
  1. Chelsea have been challenging for the EPL top spots even before Abramovich came.
  2. Also, they had the top players playing with them before the Russian oligarch bought them over, and the subsequent seasons on Chelsea went on to become a bigger and stronger club.
  3. Obviously, in terms of title ambitions and challenges, Chelsea had been and would most probably be more ahead than City would be at present time. It’s going to take a longer time if City were to be on par with Chelsea (or against any of the big 4). )
What factors Kaka in leaving Milan
  1. This would be a perfect opportunity for Kaka to leave the club. Manchester City wants him, and they are willing to pay whatever (ridiculous) price.
  2. Kaka wants a change of environment or challenges.
  3. The ‘money’.
  4. The other point to state here is that, IF Milan wants the money, thus in selling the Brazilian and cashing in the chance.
Not that I think none of the above factors are as big as the factors on why I think Kaka wouldn’t leave.
Nevertheless all this matter revolves on one main thing (IMO): the MONEY.

As I stated earlier, I don’t think Kaka will leave Milan and thus remain in Italy.

I think that if he were to leave, it would most probably be to another top club that are challenging for titles (and another thing I want to add is that, had City were a top big club, then Kaka would surely leave).

Anyhow, I’m sure that we won’t hear the last
outrageous attempt from Manchester City just yet. I’m sure when the season ends…..

Kaka deal takes football further from reality
