CHAPTER 246: Last Post For 2008, "A Shoe (Or Two) For You"

" This is a farewell kiss from the Iraqi people, you dog. This is for the widows and orphans and all those killed in Iraq. " - Muntadhir al-Zaidi

Muntadhir al-Zaidi, will perhaps be forever remembered in the history books. Well, maybe not school and university books, but surely in the minds and memory of a lot of people (especially on the action that he made). For I believe (and surely sharing the same thoughts as that of others from different parts of the world) what he did will be remembered, and perhaps inspire other people in this world and in this life to do perhaps some similar action, especially in drastic or highly emotional moments emanating from tough trepidations. Whether or not the shoe throwing incident is right or wrong, but what is indubitable is that what Muntadhir al-Zaidi has done perhaps be an action amalgamating of a symbol. A symbol againts oppressors, those who sit at the top.
" Up for Justice, Honour and Pride (and other values of dignity and nationalistic valor). ”
