CHAPTER 198: Goodbye Mr Bata

“ Between saying and doing, many a pair of shoes is worn out. ”
- Iris Murdoch

Thomas J. Bata

When I was in primary school, I wore Bata shoes. The white coloured, with straps instead of shoe laces when wearing them. And Bata shoes were among the norm in school footwear over here in Malaysia. Now no longer a child in school, there’re stuff sometimes you reminiscent when you were young. Although footwear is probably not that of something you would remember much, but looking back at how the Bata empire expanded, and how it became a fixture of children’s uniform when they were in school, it makes you look back at a piece of memorial of your school days, albeit perhaps in a small conscience.
