Alternative title: Liga Celebration…..& All Focus Now On Rome…..
Negatives
- A defeat for Barcelona.
- Defeat in Camp Nou.
- Sort of spoilt the ‘mood’ of Barcelona celebrating the league title and going forward to Rome.
- No goals scored.
- A rather more disappointing game from Barcelona compared to the defeat against Mallorca last week.
- Not many good goal scoring chances either.
- Goal conceded was disappointingly conceded (as the similar case this season).
- Unable to equalize or win.
- Muniesa’s sending off.
- Personal wise for Samuel Eto’o, unable to score and adding his goal tally in the league (although there even lesser chances in this game than at Mallorca last week).
Positives
- The ‘second choice’ players get another game play.
- No serious or damaging repercussion for the team coming into the important Champions League final clash.
- A debut and potential display for the young kid Marc Muniesa. A big positive point for him debuting in the packed Nou Camp, and also considering the circumstances revolving around his call up and debut as well as play.
Other Points To State…
The Sylvinho – Keita – Leftback question
I am not sure what were Guardiola’s intentions but I do believe that he planned the game with Sylvinho playing in the first half and then replacing him with Keita in the second half for the team’s left back position against Osasuna, to cause uncertainty for Ferguson and Manchester United regarding the upcoming clash in Rome.
I think that everybody’s certain of who Barcelona’s first 11 would be in Rome, just the lingering question of who’s going to be the left fullback: Sylvinho or Keita?
Both did fine against Osasuna but more importantly none were injured and both seemed ready to go.
Another good thing to say is Pep also took out Eto’o for the second half, giving him rest.

Marc Muniesa
Already stated both the positive and negative of Muniesa in the game.
Not going to say much, but just want to say that he showed good promise, and I believe that a tandem of Pique – Muniesa might be Barcelona’s central defensive pairing in about 4 to 5 seasons from now.
