" We'll be trying to put one over on Jose this time and get the result the fans want and the club wants. '' - Phil Townsend
" Mourinho told me yesterday that he wanted Manchester United, and I think he's right, against Manchester United we can find the right motivation and the right concentration to play a very good game. '' - Ernesto Paolillo

Hahaha………….ohhh crap! My predictions really went bust and crap! Haha…..sh-t I’m really bad at predicting stuffs! Haha……
And I got two match ups right: the Barça-Lyon and Porto-Atletico but these are from my preferred prediction set…..
Anyway, onwards to the actual, happened and eventual draw. Very exciting nonetheless, interesting clashes anyhow. The fact that some big teams ended 1st place in their groups and some finished second would already play out to various interesting possible match ups and scenarios.
At least Barcelona got their expected and preferred rival (Olympique Lyonnais) so I hope the team can plan out how they would go on and battle out against this preferred rival (and Benzema). Anyhow, I think that I’ll be posting thoughts on the eventual matches come next February, when the competition resumes, as withstanding the fact that between now and later half of February 2009 can be some time to go, and lot of things could occur like the teams reinforcing new players, injuries or potential improvements/form decline Nonetheless, here are what I think would be the clashes to view (besides Barcelona’s game off course):

- Manchester United – Inter Milan (Mourinho going back to England,….. and meeting Ferguson again)
- Liverpool – Real Madrid
- Juventus – Chelsea (perhaps the game could turn out boring, but both teams got a set of really good players. Hopefully Buffon will get back, then we’ll be seeing the clash of the top goalkeepers).
- Roma – Arsenal (I think it could be an open attacking game between these two).
