Positives

• The victory gained propels Barcelona into the semifinals.
• Barça managed to dictate and controlled at times.

Negatives

• With only a goal scored, there was always that niggling factor that Villareal could pop up a counter (or any action) and scored an equalizer (meaning Barça would go out since the first leg was a nil-nil affair), and there were nervous times indeed, especially in the last minutes when Villareal were pressing the action intensely.
• Add to that, Messi missing the penalty further added the tension. Bit of bad luck for Messi, since he was superb in attack for Barça in this game.
