"First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature rule, Daniel-san not mine."
- Mr. Miyagi (The Karate Kid)
On the way to APIIT in the morning, as I was near the Seremban highway after the National Palace, on the road that was intersected between Jln Tun Razak and the one that I used (the highway) on to APIIT, I saw a Proton Waja on the road, static. There was this man, wearing clothes that shows that he is a working professional (smart and clean), talking on his cell phone. Then there was this other man. He had a cheap motorcycle near him, and he wore rugged pants with a shirt not tucked in, and looked a bit dirty. He was sort of repairing the other guy’s car tyre, it looked like that.
Of course, I’m not exactly sure what really happened. But my deduction is that, what happens was an act of goodwill from that guy who’s repairing the other’s guy car, helping him rectifying his car’s problems. And as I passed through all of them in the space of about 15 seconds, I had glanced at them and thought “How many people in this world are like that nowadays?”.
A good Samaritan.
They also were selling book and cds on positive thinking and spiritual, yoga-yoga like stuffs.
Anyhow, after lunch, as I sat from the third floor, killing time. I called up my old buddy from BMI, Zuhdi. Had a long chat with him. Anyway, as I was talking to him, caught a glimpsed of Shoun, alongside two students, talking with one of the guys handling the booth that I’ve been talking ‘bout. I got kinda interested in knowing what it was all about, as at the table Shoun met up with that guy had some varied objects on it.
But before that met with one of the guys that handled the stuffs. An Indian guy named Ganesh. He was friendly, and seemed open. Looked young too, wore casually and had a beard reminiscent of Juan Sebastian Veron. Had spoke with him, and according to him, Ganesh does this kind of stuffs ‘cause he likes it and it’s his passion. He said he holds diploma and degree in accountings. But got dissatisfied with his previous job, and wanted to do and be involved in something that he’s more passionate about and more interested in. So he became involved in all these things. By the way, Ganesh told me that why are there so many computing students at APIIT? I told him that this is a computing college, where they teach all sorts of education related to that dumb and lifeless machine named Computer. He then told me “I hate computers! Ever since my studying days and my working life I hated computers!”. Haha……..
Still, this guy’s probably one of the most cheerful guys I’ve met yet this year. From the way he communicated with me, he’s open-hearted, shows good will and had a bright smile and look on his face. Talking with him throughout this period of time was soothing for my own outskirts of a cold character and deep, reserved expressions. (Although I also thought that he's too nice, it might something's in the too nice direction is coming up!)
On the table there were four different objects. And you had to go through them one by one. There were sort of statues of a swan (with a white, silvery globe on it’s body), a turtle, and a white boy with wings sitting down with a pose like Ronin’s The Thinker (it was depicting an angel). The last object was a mirror.
The whole ordeal was more or less figuring out what are your thinking and characteristics based on your perceptions when you view each object. This would then led to Ganesh telling me how to improve myself in my life, based on the deductions he made from what I say when I think about when seeing those objects. Shoun was beside me the whole time.
The first test; the swan. Ganesh asked me, when I see it, what do I fly with? I told him “I fly with the lights of heaven”.
Second test; the turtle. Ganesh asked me, when I see it, what are the words that I could think of? I said “Slow. And patient.”
Next, the angel, and just like how I was being asked for the turtle, I responded “Thinking.”
Last, was the mirror. Ganesh showed me the mirror, and I saw myself staring at my own reflection of reflections.
He asked me, “What do you see when you see yourself at the mirror?”
I told him…….that “I see fire and water clashing against each other.”
As I told that, I could sensed that Shoun was startled a bit, even though I wasn’t even looking at him.
So here’s the conclusion that Ganesh made up based on what I said.
I have passion, and that’s good. And also having patience, but I’m slow, and that I might spend too much time pondering and trying to solve on my own life’s trials or difficulties. He told me that to achieve my ambitions I should be quicker, otherwise my opportunities might be gone.
Ganesh had asked me whether I had some kind of clash with anybody (regarding the fact that I said I saw water and fire clashing against each other as I saw myself on that mirror), and I told him that it was my own self. So we continued talking.
Ganesh also gave me another advice before I left, saying that I needed somebody to guide me in realizing my ambitions or dreams. He said that somebody can help set me in the right paths to gain and fulfills those distant dreams.
Anyhow, after all of that was done, chatted a bit some more with Ganesh. Shook his hand and gave him my thanks for his advices.
