"The art of leadership is saying no, not yes. It is very easy to say yes." - Tony Blair
Today was a miserable day for me.
It started at the early hours in the morning, around 2 am. I got up to watch the Barça vs Atlético Madrid. In the end, Barça lost 1-3, the first defeat after 14 straight victories in La Liga, and more so the premier lost at Camp Nou this season. Without Xavi, Ronnie and Eto'o, and more so all the defensive midfielders Edmilson and Motta not being available, there was the feeling that Barça couldn't cope with the fast and tricky Atlético players like Torres, Petrov, Ibagaza and Maxi. That basta-d 'El Nino' become the scourge for Barça once again, proving to be decisive player. Apart from that, Perea and Pablo 'owned' the Barça forwards. Messi kept getting triple teamed whenever he made a dash with the ball, and he was substituted b'4 second half (due to injury). IMO, Rijkaard screwed up with the tactics. The midfield was non existant, no good passes and through balls were being played. The game played by Atlético was as if it was the usual style of football palyed by Barcelona themselves, albeit that Barça had more possesion of the ball in most part of the game. Deco couldn't do much, and Van Bommel has been poor ever since returning from injury. Puyol, on the other hand, got owned big-time by Torres, just like before and before. It sucks man, how Atlético could be the boogy team for Barcelona and yet they themselves are struggling year in year out to even qualify for a place in Europe, but both they and Torres almost always deliver againts Barça.
It was disgusting seeing the reaction of the Barça players especially after the second and third goal being conceded, the look of dissapointment and giving up. We've been on a long winning streak and now it ended up in this way, they really have to buck up. Valencia and Madrid are catching up, and things don't look so good, considering that next match is againts Valencia at the Mestalla. Another thing that pissed me off was that Rijkaard didn't give a bloody chance to Maxi Lopez. I've been wanting for Maxi to play for soo long, and he still insist on giving the other players who have already played more than Maxi a chance. If this is how it goes, then Maxi would never have another proper chance to play, considering that Eto'o will be back next week. C'mon Rijkaard, give the 'Tank' a chance! Please!
Arghhhhhh..........................in football a defeat always leaves you a sour taste in your mouth (if ya get what I mean) and a Barça defeat always give me negative vibes and it's hard to concentrate when the day comes. It was hard to sleep afterwards. Game finished around 4am, in bed afterwards but sleeping probably only around 5am. Got up at 7am, 'cause gotta go to tha Black Cave.
The second problem that made it a bad day was that I got stomach ache throughout the time spent at APIIT and a (sort of) case of diarrhea. Had to go to toilet 5 times today (one before leaving for APIIT, three times when at APIIT and the fifth at home after returning from APIIT). Bloody hell. When the complications came to the stomach, I knew that the culprit that caused was one thing, the rojak that I had the night before. No other things, and I'm positive of that. Even my father had shared the same fate as me 'cause of that rojak.
Anyway, I can't even remember when was the last time I had diarrhea, seriously can't remember. Anyhow, at the end of the day, had to buy and popped down a Panadol from the Co-op shop. For me, a Panadol usually soothes this kind of stomach problem. Ahh.....now that talking 'bout it, I remembered the last time I had a slight case of diarrhea: somewhere around late 2001 (I remembered experimenting the remedy of taking panadol to solve it, and it kinda worked).
The last straw that made today miserable was I finally checked my results from last semesters' subjects.
Pathetic.
On the other hand, there were some 'events' that at least made my heart smiled today;

On the other hand, there were some 'events' that at least made my heart smiled today;
- During FCM class, as mr. Saw was explaining something to Master P, Harvin's SMS ringtone suddenly came out loud. Haha......hearing that monkey noise always give me a good chuckle, as well as to the others who were present.
- As I was buying the Panadol to cure the stomach ache, I had a chat with the store owner. He was friendly and an easily affable person to talk with. He asked whether I had a headache, I told him I got stomach ache. Then he went on, asking me whether I go jogging or not. Told him, not usually. Then he continued, saying that you should do exercises, to avoid any sort of body problems like stomach ache. He told me that don't just go jogging, got to do other forms of exercises too. He said stuff like stretching and doing eye exercises, as well as looking at greenish stuff like plants. Anyhow, it was a nice chat with the man, and it made me feel good. You feel good when you a had a chat with a friendly person, and furthermore when that person offers you some suggestions and opinion to help tackle over your problems. It's good.
- After lunch, me, Afzal, Harvin and Andrew decided to go home. Since there was no CNI class in the evening (David still on holiday). Right after I bought the panadol and gone out of APIIT with the homeboys, we saw dr. K together with ms Sunita. As usual, we went out the back door of the building near the student affairs location. As we were heading out near the major road outside, there was the two lecturers. At the same time, several APIIT students also crossed path with us and dr K & Sunita (they going to APIIT). Anyhow, seeing the sight of them together made us grinned. Of course, we weren't implying anything, but jokes and smiles went away as we walked behind them (they looked as if they went to Shukran) as we went to my usual parking spot.
- Working out. Lifting the dumbells usually sets and focuses my mind. It helps ease away some of the tension and bad vibes that lingers around ya when the feeling of the day gets tough down on you, as you lift them fully concentrated. The session of lifting up and down the dumbells is always a constant battle to keep the body and mind worked in an interchanged manner, that helps make you have a fitter form and mind.
